Best of the Bay
Everybody sure loves Bernal Heights, including the readers of the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Our neighborhood got picked as the "Best of the Bay" in both 2004 and 1999.
Profiles of the Neighborhood
A couple of very nice profiles focusing on the real-estate of the neighborhood have been published. Most recently our neighborhood was featured on the TV show Bay Area Backroads. See it here. Last year there was a big spread in the Weekend House and Home section of the London Financial Times entitled "The city's last secret". "Cachet in the real-estate market" was a great piece by SF Chronicle real-estate columnist Carol Lloyd. Bernal Hill Realty was interviewed and quoted for both of these.
Bernal Heights Films
Film makers Melissa Peabody and Sara St. Martin Lynne have a site for their upcoming film Wild at Heart about the natural history of Bernal Hill starring the Coyote that took up residence on the hill in 2003.

Bernal Heights has been in the news recently as well: The gourmet ghetto on Cortland adds another restaurant - TinderBox  and a new meat market - Avedano's, fireworks viewing from the-top-of-the-Hill, Coyotes on Bernal Hill,   Bernal hipster parents rockin' with their kids,  and the opening of the Peruvian restaurant Piqueo's on Cortland Avenue.

The Cortland Merchants have an informative site www.bernalheightsonline.com with an impressive amount of data on all the businesses on Cortland Avenue. Other groups with websites include: Music on the Hill, Precita Eyes Mural Arts, Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema, Bernal Heights Preservation, The North West Bernal Alliance, Alemany Farm,  No Home Depot activists, Fiesta on the Hill and the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center.
